Default need help

ok im having a hard time i never done this before i put a new intake carb and distributor in and i dont know were to start what to tune first

First you'll want to get it in time. Turn the motor to top dead center and then drop the distributor in so its pointing close to the number one plug wire. That will get you close and then use a timing light.

ok thats what i thought to do i read that you time the car with the vacuum line unpluged from the distributor and plug the line but my car wont run like that i have a edlebrock 4bbl and i have the vacuum line going from the full vacuum to a 3way going to the trans and distributor and a hose going from pcv valve port on the carb to a breather on my valve cover is this set up right or did i **** up somewere
