dash lights

yeh, it could definatly be the dimmer in the switch. I'd check that, and the ground wire on the instrument panel.

Man, I am SOOO glad that I found this post, as I was having issues with the dash lights as well. My headlights and taillights worked fine, but the dimmer switch sounded horrrrrible when you rotated the ****. (And of course I had no dash lights) Well after getting the wrong switch in the mail, my local auto parts store had the right switch in stock.

I wonder how I had lights at all with this switch.

well guys i want to thank you a lot for the help i can now see at night because i have dash lights. fixed it for twenty bucks and half an hour of workin on the lights and that was it.

Any time any of your lights give you trouble immediately suspect the headlight switch. They over heat and freak out like crazy. I've gone through 4 of them in the two years I've had my 67 stang. Every time I replace that switch my problems go away.

then add a relay setup into your headlight system cause i had the same prob so thats what i did now i am on the same switch i did it in my truck and my car a cheap worth wile upgrade
