How can I get more body/leg room in a 64/65?
I'm a pretty husky and tall dude, 6' 2", 270 lbs.
I do kinda have of a tight fit, was thinking in converting my regular steering column into a tilt one.
Good idea or bad?
Also to compensate, I installed a small 13 inch Woodgrain steering wheel.
On the leg issue, the fit has always been tight as well, so I removed the original seats and installed a pair of Elite Seats with reclining features, that gave me a tad more leg room, but I still need like an extra inch for it to be just perfect.
Any suggestions short of losing a few pounds and amputating a couple of inches off my legs?
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I too am not a small man, however, the only issue I have is my knee against the shifter. Other than that, there's more room in my 66' than in my F250 4x4

I have the opposite problem but a friend is 6'6" and he found an 11" wheel on eBay and said that solved the problem of needing extra inches.

This link shows you how to gain head/leg room by repositioning the seat pans.

Yes, I've read that article, seems like a lotta work, but possible I guess.
I'm afraid the 11
inch steering wheel would make me look like a cholo gangabanger though.
Thanks guys for your input, much appreciated.
