Default 73 mach1 shifter question (automatic)

iam trying to replace my the aftermarket B&M cable shifter on my m-stang with the an orginal shifter (i got one on ebay..whole assemble minus the linkage). i was wondering what the linkage assembly looked like? and if there were different ones for the type of trannie supplied. (my car orginally came with an fmx but i have a C6 in there now. hopefully i can make it work. thanks!

I don't know about the linkages, but you should be able to find them on eBay. I do know that the actual shifter itself did not change from the late 60s through 73 depending on the tranny. IE the FMX and C-4 had the same shifter, the shifter you bought should work with the c-6 if you get the right linkage

They are solid steel bars, bent in just the right places and one end is adjustable. I dont see why it wouldnt work with a C6, the shifter quadrant is in nearly the same spot as the FMX. If I get outside today and can find mine, I'll take a pic of it for you.

Heard that. I have a 1/4 acre of oak I need to cut, split and stack. Started yesterday, buy my chain saw is kicking my butt. A 16 incher, and it still makes me huff and puff. But, gotta get some wood for the fireplace for the winter. How much is cut and split and stacked oak firewood going for in your neck of the woods?
