Rolling the fenders is a very common practice. My '71 has rolled fenders to fit my new tires. In the end, it's the owner of the car that decides if the fenders get rolled.
I put 215/65-15's on my '65 Stang and will be rolling the fenders before the car hits the road.

ive already got 5 15x7's and then you have the issue of not being able to rotate tyres. they look so good on the car! i'll probably bite the bullet and get the guy to pull the fenders his way.

RE: Front Springs on A 1966
so i got sold the wrong size wheel or wrong backspacing for the application or what?
I thought i'd done my homework, because I was going to get 15x8's and they all said fine for the back, go 15x7 for the front. i didnt want odd sizes so picked 15x7 all round. I never specified a back spacing as all the people I spoke to in Aus and the US said the combo would fit.
what should i have bought, given the wish was TTd's, 15" and wide as would fit unde the fenders?

Your 15x7 rims came with 3.75" backspacing.
What you really wanted was a rim with 4.5" backspacing.
That would have let you use a 225 width tire without being close to rubbing.

I still say....do the shelby a arm drop, get it aligned to the shelby specs and it will better and prob only rub on turns with big dips after that when you have a 215 60 15 on that rim 15x7 rim with the 3.75 BS
