Default Body Questions.

Im supposed to go in this weekend and stop by my body shop on friday and let them know the final decision about what i want to do with the all the moldings and emblems. Its a 68 coupe and so far i have decided to delete the following: hood chrome trim, quarter panel emblems, and rocker panel molding. Things i want to keep: Mustang script and 289+pony on front fender, and front side marker lights. Things im having a tough time deciding on wether or not to keep: MUSTANG letters on trunk lid, trunk lid molding including the quarter panel extension moldings, and the rear 1/4 panel reflectors, (its a late 68 so it doesnt have the indenion, after 2/15/68). Im lowering the car 1 inch. all the way around via. 620 drop coils in the front and drop springs in the rear. and installing 17in. TT2's. So what im askin is for opinions and advice on what im keeping, what im not keeping, and what i cant decide on. thanks in advance. Oh, and does anybody have any experience with painting the dash panel, door panels etc. the same color as the car?

I guess you could paint the interior metal the same color as the body if you know how to prep and paint. You might want to Photoshop the car with and without the emblems just to see how it would look in reality.

well my ride is a restomod so i optioned to delete all emblems. Ive seen many restos at my bodyshop with some emblems and they look good either way. Im not going with much chrome on my shyt. If anything i would keep the mustang emblem on the front grill and the fender ones too. I dont have the window trim nor the front chrome bumper and i also deleted the frame rail chrome as well. So i guess its up to how much chrome you have on the car.

You need to keep the hood chrome. There is a big lip on the hood that will look really funny if you delete it. I would keep the trunk chrome and loose everything else. I think the 68's look best without rocker moldings only if you run GT stripes on the bottom of the door.

I have a 68 coupe as well and when I replaced the driver side qaurter panel I drilled and installed the marker light (reflector) and the C moulding. I finished the passenger side not too long ago and didnt install the marker light or the C moulding. I like the way it looks so much that Im going to go back to the drivers side qaurter and remove them. Its such a clean look.
