Power steering question for a '69 Mustang:

RE: Power steering question for a '69 Mustang:
I just converted from power steering to manual in my '69 - from the research I did manual steering is much less of a headache than power steering, which is prone to many problems in these cars.
If you're serious about doing the swap, this is what you need:
control valve & assembly
ram cylinder
hoses
power steering pump
new water pump pulley
brackets etc.
you're probably looking at $500+ worth of parts, and constant leaks etc.

RE: Power steering question for a '69 Mustang:
Thanks for the info guys. I think I will just leave it manual then....I've just never had a car that didn't have power steering, so I guess I'll just have to get used to it. I haven't been able to drive it yet, it has been in the shop since day 1 but it's almost done! I am dropping the motor in this weekend, and then it just needs paint and it's done. The interior cam out very nice, I'll post pictures later.
