Soaring is correct about using staples. They are the best way to fasten them to the metal, maybe not the easiest. Installation is a snap once you figure it out.

RE: fender splash shields
Go to the lumber yard, or hardware store and get air gun staples one-half inch across.by one and one half inches long Push thru, cut off so there is about one quarter inch, and bend over. If the is construction site nearby, they will have these staples. About one clip will work.
