emergency help needed!.
ok i got this new wieland intake manifold 4bbl for my 129 it a stealth wieland and put it not to difficult but when i started it up everything sounded good but the exhaust was pouring out smoke and not spraying but letting out what i think is oil. i need sum info on what i did wrong so i dont have to spend another fortune in bringing it to the shop.

Sounds like you did a poor job of sealing the new intake when you installed it (assuming you were not having this problem before)
Take it off
Clean all surfaces
Use new gaskets
Use a bit of RTV
Tighten and torque in the correct sequence working from the inside out
then change the oil
flush the coolant
refill everything and start it up
Take it off

If it was not sealed properly:
oil can get into the conbustion chambers
coolant can get in the combustion chanbers
oil can get into the coolant
coolant can get into the oil
It can all be pretty nasty.

those cork or cardboard gaskest are crap!!!!! I used the one that came w/ my Pacesetter H-Pipe sounded like crap after 5 minutes. that thing was burned and crumbled to peices. I used silcone after that never had a problem

The reason to not use the cork on an intake is not the quality of the gasket, but the height. The gaskets many times are just too tall and don't allow the intake to sit down on the heads to make a proper seal. I've also seen them too short...and being short isn't good, either.
