ok i need your guys opinion. im looking at this 1967 mustang. it has a straight 6 w/a 3-speed that were just rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. the body is literally straight as an arrow i only saw one ding when i looked at it and there is no rust except for a little surface rust here and there. it needs paint though. the guy wants $4000 for it. heres the thing, he has a big block 429 that he said he would give me if i decided to buy it. what do you guys think should i buy it or wait

RE: Qusetion
Theres quite a bit of work envolved with swapping from a 6cyl to a v8, just fyi. But if you don't mind that, 4000 for 6 thats been rebuilt and isnt showing any bad rust, then ya its not a bad deal. the 429 is a DEFINITE plus! Try haggling anyways...start at 32 and work your way up

RE: Qusetion
forget what the body looks like, look at the frame rails, thats where u will end up spending your money. If the frame rails front and back, shock towers and all that look good... then if its worth it to u then buy it.

haha ya i was thinking about selling the 429 because i dont really need it. the car would be my daily driver and im still in school so i cant really afford 6mpg right now lol. how much does a good 429 go for?
