Default old block 351w ... new roller block 351w

My body works almost done and it's time to put her back together. My problem is this and I would realllllllly appreciate some feedback on this one. I want to stroke a 351 windsor up to a 392. I can get a 1974 windsor block 0.030 over already (slight ridge since rebuild) and probably get away with 0.010 more to end up with a 0.040 over. My builder tells me it's harder to get pistons at 0.040 over than 0.030 over (probably true but so what?). This block is $250.00. On the other hand I can get a F4 roller block (94-97 truck/van roller block) for $400.00. The older block is not roller ready and would have to be drilled. The new block hasn't been bored but is thinner walled but rollered. My goals are to get close to 500 hp out of this thing when it's done. What does a guy do here? I mean pros and cons. Thanks

Apparently this article talks about a 392 stroker getting 500 hp. If I can get kinda close even that would be good. Who knows though? Sometimes these articles can be a bit decieving though I think ... but then ford racing has a 392 stroker that makes I think around 480 hp so should be able to?

For what its worth, my 351w was bored .040 over with no problem, builders didnt' say anything about finding .040 pistons as being a big deal...

yeah i mean a girdle on the main caps, and for the best protection besides that, there's a support for your lifter bored (not sure of the name) that will keep the thing in 1 piece.
