Default Painting new and old metal on my Mustang

I am trying to come up with a plan to paint the new and old sheet metal, frame rails and torque boxes on my mustang. I have come up with the following steps from studying this forum:
Clean new metal with Eastwood’s pre paint prep to remove oil
Etch new metal with POR-15’s metal ready
Pant rusty or metal ready treated metal with POR-15
Etch POR-15 with POR-15’s self etching primer
Top coat top side of the floor pans with Tower’s paint (Same color as exterior of car)
Top coat bottom of floor pans, frame rails and torque boxes with ?

I was thinking about using Eastwood’s Chassis Black, but it says it is not recommended for use over single stage self etching primers.
What would you top coat the bottom of the floor pans, frame rails and torque boxes with?
What would you top coat the engine bay with?
Are all these steps overkill? What would you change?

Thanks

Good luck.

I am using an epoxy primer and tough as nails semi gloss implement paint under the hood of the Cougar. You want durability, resistance to oil/fuel and other nasty things like brake fluid under there. The Epoxy primer should work pretty well and you can paint almost anything over it.

I havent decided what to do with the rest of the car, I know the color I want but not what materials I will use to do it. Still researching the primers, sealers and stuff..

Thanks guys.
I am probably over analyzing this, but this is one of those things that it seems like it will be so much easier if you do it right the first time.

The Dupont Prep-Sol is what I use to clean metal before painting (see attached photo).
So for clean metal it's generally this:
1) Oil and dirt clean
2) Rust-oleum professional spray can primer
3) Undercoating or enamel

For rusted:
1) Wire brush rust as best you can
2) Prep-sol
3) Rust converter (the chemical type where it turns your rust black)
4) Primer
5) Undercoating or enamel

I use that procedure for areas that are usually dry like torque boxes and top of floor pans. For the bottom of the floor pans I'll probably lay down primer and then some trunk bed liner spray. Primer and undercoating in torque boxes and frame rails will be fine in my opinion.
