Default Coil Over, and Rack and Pinion?

Ok, so I was browsing some sites and found a kit for a coil over and a kit for Rack and Pinion system for our old mustangs... now I know that its a more modern system and that it is better or else it wouldn't be used but I don't know exactly how it is better so if someone could be so kind as to explain what the pros and cons are to both systems, that would be great, I am in the mood for some learning...

pro's: better handling more precise steering, looks cool, adjustable
cons: pricey, much wider turning circle with rack and pinion, you are relying on the manufacturers for parts are they going to be there in ten years?
I went with TCP's Coilover and power rack.. cost for the parts alone 4 grand

best mod for the money is subframe connectors.

Coil-Over kits let serious drivers quickly adjust the ride height and corner weight of each individual wheel, giving them the flexibility they demand for precise street and track tuning. If this is not your cup of tea, then you would be wasting money. Rack and pinion steering is simply more precise, but not worth the outlay of cash IMO.

My car is going to be a cruiser with the ability to flex some muscle every once in a while so adjestibility is not going to be a concern since I don't really want to race it. (might go to a track once or twice to see how capable she is though) So if there are no enormous benefits to having those then I will scratch them off the wish list....

Heres the link for where I found the coil over spring kit.... 2.5k http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchant...Code=coil_over

Thanks guys.

My ideal is a bit like yours a car that can take a corner, I plan to take in round nurbergring next year but basically a cruiser. So i am in the process of getting/fitting export brace, monte carlo bar, koni's shocks, roller perches, 620lbs 1" lowering fronts 5 leaf mid eyes on the rear, 1" anti-sway bar, new poly bushes and maybe adjustable strut rods.
