i think the thumpin book o' mustang fixing would be used more than my chiltons and haynes!!! Mind you can't praise him to much he might get big headed and add mustang guru in his sig!!!

not gonna get a big head. There is still more for me to learn. I still cant get the 5.0 in my F150 runnin.

You're right in that there are books out there dedicated solely to carburetor tuning and modifying, performance engine building, etc. I keep trying to make my way thru Fred Puhn's "How to Make Your Car Handle" but it always gives me a headache. Deep stuff.
I could see there being a market for a book on how to assemble the whole deal... engine requirements, transmission, convertor if AT, clutch if MT, rear-end ratio, wheels and tires, brakes, suspension, chassis modifications... maybe specific to a particular vehicle and / or range of applications (drag race, autocross, performance road car, etc.) If you write it I will buy it.
