Repro Fenders Fitment
okay so as some of you may know....i got my two new fenders yesterday....they sent me two left ones when i needed a left and a right so thats a pain but oh well...at least i got one on there, its a start....
anyways, i know everyone has said "oh those wont fit at all and will take hundreds of dollars in a body shop to make fit and all that....well i have found that they really aren't that bad...here are some pics with absolutely zero modifications done...just bolted on....the only thing i plan to do is make the holes where the headlight bucket attaches a slight bit bigger so it will sit completely flush and not have that paper thin gap....i actually already did it, but just dont have pictures yet so these are totally how it came, stock......

RE: Repro Fenders Fitment
Glad it worked out for you. Is the hood repro as well, if so how did it fit? Where did you pruchase them.
I do notice however that the gap on the head light bucket seems to be uneven and the gap from the cowl to the fender seems a lil wide. May just be the pictures though.

yeah, i made the holes a tad bigger and it fits more flush now against the front of the fender.
and the gap at the the cowl seems alright to me. granted, im not making a chip foose car, but i also don't want a piece of crap. im sure if its too big the body guy can remedy it.
the good fits pretty good too...seems a lot heavier than the old one....maybe because the old one was so rusted away it lost like %15 of its original metal, haha. I'm just wanting a daily driver so its pretty good for me...
and yeah i have a new door as well so im not doing a victory dance yet but hopefully that will work out as well......
i bought the fenders from trophymustang.com and the hood i went and picked up at mustangpartshouse.com, they were all parts by scott drake i believe....

I was thinking the same thing. Since your quarters are staionary, you start aligning your panel with your doors first. Then you work your way forward.

make sure you mount the door before you going thinking you have it on perfect
