timing cover needed for 289

Default timing cover needed for 289

I purchased this timing cover for a 302 but its missing a water jacket i am willing to trade this for the correct one if anyone has one?

The timing cover has to have a water jacket like this

You mean the outlet? Looks to me like its on the water pump. Does your water pump fit the front cover? usually the water jacket refers to the block where the water circulates around the cylinders. Just nomenclature, no big deal. What doesnt match up? Does your block have a provision for a dipstick tube? some small fords had the dipstick in the front cover.. something to look for.

Yeah my timing cover has a provision for the dipstick tube


You see the timing cover is warped and originally it was leaking radiator fluid through the top right under the thermostate housing but now its leaking oil so i need a new timing cover anyone got one?

Ill check the ones I have around here and see if any have the stick in the cover. Let you know tomorrow.. be sure to PM me about it or I will probably forget...lol

Yeah i have a 1968- 1974 5.0L 302 and i need a timing cover that doesnt leak unfortunatly i have 2 timing covers that dont FIT ! and a sad leak so yeah id apreaciate anyhelp
