So im in the process of installing the carb, as well as many other miscellanious parts, but how i do hook up the carb to a stock throttle cable? Thanks.

well, on mine there was just a little ball that the cable socket thing snapped onto... however i dont have the stock throttle cable.

see, my cable has the part where the ball wouold go, but my carb doesnt have the ball

ok the first thing you did wrong here was buy and edelbrock piece of crap you should have spent the extra cash to get a holley

You need a little ball stud to screw into the throttle arm of the carb. Or, you can buy a different style throttle cable.

Shoulda bought a Holley, though. They come with those parts, make more power, and get better fuel mileage.

thats the exact carb i have, however it came with the engine, and it already had the ball.

i drilled my linkage and used a cotter pin for the time being

ok, basically my problem is that I was not sent a "baggy of goodies" so I have no ball to connect it to, no air cleaner stud, no plug for the back, and no vacumn plug...so tmw...well later today now, I will be calling and placing orders and handling some of these new challenges
