Default How many are still out there

Greetings~

I have a 1972 mustang convertible. It has the 351 CJ 4v w/4spd manual w/hurst shifter all numbers match, Im the 3rd owner. it has 153k on it, special features: deluxe int, ram air, front air dam, power windows & top. ( I will post pictures as soon as I get the film developed).

I have been told it's one of 201 made, see below figures.

Only 5% of Mustangs produced in 1972 were convertibles (6,401 out of 125,405). Of those only 201 were built with the 351 “Q” code, 4-barrel V-8, and a 4-speed gearbox.

My question is how many are still around?

Marti Auto Works may have some info. If they don't, I'm sure there's a registry out there.

That sounds like a really rare car. You can look in the FAQ section to find some general numbers but I'd go to Marti for a more accurate estimate.

Also, someone said there was a place that can reproduce the dealer window sheet that would be on the car at the dealer. Like the ones on todays cars??

Where is this place & do they have a website?

Sweet car!

I think it is Marti who reprints the window stickers as well.

Good luck,

Edit: Forgot to add that that is possible the nicest looking 73 I've ever seen. Sweet car

Awesome looking car. Those years are my favorite model convertibles.
