Default Wheel spacers for 68 with drums

I purchased a 68 coupe that has the Magnum rims on it. I found out after pulling the tire (months later) that the front tire is rubbing the upper control arm. Not enough to effect the driving but enough to put a nice rub indent mark around the tire. I really like the rims so if possible don't want to get rid of them. Do they make 1/4" spacers for a 68 mustang (5 bolt) with drums? If not, would thinner tires help? Thanks, Scott

Yeah, you can get a 1/4" spacer, but would be safer with a slightly smaller tire. What tires are you running now that are rubbing? However, the cheapest way would be to get 1/4" spacers. You will need to order the 5 on the 4 1/2" bolt pattern.

They are 215/70/14 The previous owner must have been nuts to drive them like that.
