Default Buying a Mustang, Which areas shall I ask for photos of?

Now I know its best to see the car in person and test drive before buying but quite frankly not having driven a mustang before I havent got a clue what Id be looking for. I might find an independent mechanic in the area of purchase to have an inspection of the car prior to purchase but would still like to check the car out as much as I can before that.

So, when buying a Mustang and taking the risk of not seeing the car before buying and just having it sent I'll be doing it by photos, the only thing I can look our for is rust I guess so the question is what do I ask for photos of? floor pans, on top of the inner fender, trunk, doors. frame and cowl(whatever that is)

With the motor and mechanical parts of the car Ill have to trust the seller (will probably be buying from a reputable specialised dealer and check them out before)

Whoever you're buying a classic Mustang from should know what you're going to need pictures of. I'm probably forgetting a few but...

Frame Rails
Engine Compartment
Floorboards
Exterior
Interior
Cowl

Basically just ask for as many pics as possible (including project pics if they're available) and then just post them and we'll tell you what we think. Good luck

the cowl is the panel in between the hood and windsheild, it has slots usually parralell to the direction of the car.

I bought my car off ebay site unseen - not sure if I'd ever do that again. Had more work than PO described - but could have been a lot worse.

Couple of things to add.
I'd get pictures of trunk with carpet or cover pulled - especially around the tank - looking for rust
Front and rear floor pans and frame rails. Really as many pictures as you can get of underneath
Around wheel lips (looking for bondo)
Pictures of where doors, fenders, quarter and hood line up
Pictures taking at angle so that you can see down the side of car - looking for waves and where creases of body panel don' line up
Engine pics
Underneath doors

umm i would ask for as many as possible especially the framerails and the whole undercarriage plus if he is using digital it should have a vid feature get a vid of it running and also get a vid of it being driven cause everything can look great but if its all show and no go then find out what it need to be go and if that outweight what you are getting then i would pas it up
