Default Looking for TTO's 15 x 7 wheels

Ok all - Here's what I am planning. Buying Torq Thrust Original wheels in 15 x 7 and putting on 215/60/R15 tires all around - I see that the TTO's are 3 3/4 inch backspacing. Is that enough or do I need closer to 4 inches of backspacing.
Here is how the car will be once it is finished. All the parts are here except Doug's tri-y headers and the wheels/tires.
289 w/ C4 (manual steering & brakes)
Mid-eye 4 1/2 rear leafs with Edlebrock shocks
Front end rebuild kit from Mustang's Plus: 620 coil springs
1" sway bar in front
Shelby mod
Bear bumpsteer correction kit
Upper control arms upgraded to Moog ball joints
Roller bearing spring perches
Roller idler arm
Granada front disc brake conversion kit
Magnaflow 2 1/2 inch exhaust

I'm open to suggestions as to what wheel / tire combo to use (215/50/R15 or 215/60/R15 or ?) (I did reference DodgeStang's wheel chart as to what others have used I'd like to hear from all of you). I don't want to have to roll/alter anything and would rather play it-safe on the clearance - BUT not so that it looks like it is riding on razor blade wheels... ;-)

Thanks - you all are a welcomed wealth of knowledge!

I think it depends on kind of suspension you have and how your Granada swap affects the offset. I have the Global West suspension which sits quite a bit lower. With 225/50/15's, the fronts rub on the upper lip of the fender while the rears clear just fine. I didn't try the 215's, but they may have just eeeked by.

If you find that the wheels will work for you, I'm going to sell a pair that have had tires mounted, but with no miles on the front wheels and probably less than 10 on the rear. I will be selling these at a pretty good discount over the cost of new. If you squint and look at my avatar, you can see the Torque Thrusts on the rear and the stock steel still on the front.

Scott - where does yours rub and what wheels/tires do you have?

I was told that the Granada conversion won't change the wheel setup at all as far as offset goes.

I have bf goodrich radial t/a 215 60 15 on tt d american racing rims-my suspension is probably saging a little-I had my fenders edges rolled inward and I still get a rub on the side of the tire-t sucks-I would think hard or experiment with a old tire and rim the same size-i should have went with the 195 tires...want to buy a set of 4?

Hey - thanks for the offer on the TT D's but my wife wants the original TT without the center blacked out. I also checked out the Vintage 40 wheel at Vintage Wheel Works. She liked that too. But at $200 a piece that is getting pricey...

Scott - do you think that going with a 50 instead of 60 would have helped your clearance issues?

ok, whats the difference between D's and original? near as tell by the pics on the American racing website they are the same except for shade of grey on the spokes?

I have seen the V40s and they just dont seem to look right to me on a stang IMO. maybe its the spoke leading edge is sharper or something?

Outside the square, you can paint the spokes...there is a schmick looking white GT350r replica running here with the spokes painted the same blue as the shelby stripe. Outers are same polished alum finish. Looks very cool.
