If you get a big block stuffed into that 65 engine bay, let us know your secret.

331,347 or 351W (408 stroker DROOOL), AFR heads, RPM intake, 650 Holley, hydrualic roller cam, 3.50 gears = stomp the guts out of 99% of the imports, and either run with or beat the LS1s and newer mustangs..

Tool used to install big blocks in a 64-66 is a SAWZALL... and drop it from the 2nd story window.

408 stroker DROOOL
yep, that'd be my choice too and much lighter than than a big block. You'd still need to work on traction to take out an M3 but you could always say you got lost in the tire smoke and had to back off.

new cars are just plain faster then out old mustangs. Espiacally a car like a M3. lol. I dont understand the physics of it. I have been beat by a car that wieghs more then my mustang, and has less HP. WHY? Im pretty much postive it has to do with gears and it being front wheel drive.

new technology > old technology. our cars are still 10 times more badass, thats just the way it shapes up (to me atleast). dont get me wrong nothins gunna beat raw power and traction in and old car but still all this digital and electronic shiz gots me stumped [:@]

My 69 Mach 1 with a 1990 302HO and a 4 speed toploader just lost to a BMW 3 Series. Now i know alot of you guys are very classic focused but i like muscle cars fast

I'm thinking ima have to re prioritize my paint job and go with the 351 crate motor first.
I see you're in Temecula, I'm in L.A. I'm going to be pulling my built 351W and selling it in a few weeks for probably a third of what a new one costs.

Alan Root SVO aluminum heads with the big "D" ports, roller rockers and stud girdles

Custom grind Crower roller cam, forged pistons

Engine block has clutch boss for use with early Mustang mechanical linkage

Brand new, never mounted Hooker headers to fit the heads (uses diaganol mounting pattern on head)

Used custom headers for early Mustang

McCloud scattershield

Holley 4150 double pumper 700cfm

My GTP is a LOT faster than my Mustang is. It runs a PB of 13.6 but i know i can still get it lower a few tenths. Anyways, The gearing, handling/traction, drivetrain loss all make up a big part. O... and theGTP is supercharged(stock) and does put out more HP. thats why -Jon

PS. i added my sig from my GTP forums... So now youll have to look at a giant grand prix every time i post
