Starting to plan changes to the Mustang Ill be buying, how good are the brakes on the mustang I dont suppose they are discs are they? What upgrade options are available?
This will be one of the few changes I will make other than stereo, alarm would be power steering - i dont suppose thats a possible upgrade?

the gt's have disc front brakes a much need upgrade if u want it to drive frequently but its not hard to upgrade to a aftermarket disc system www.baer.com www.ssbrakes.com i went with ssbc because they actually had the items in stock compared to a wait of 10weeks i was quoted from baer. also dont buy the brakes from the web site check out www.paddockparts.com(cheapest i found) or www.jegs.com(price matched paddock but offer free ground shipping in the us) or www.summitracing.com they price match also and offer free shipping in the us. i imagine that shipping oversea will be quite expensive as the parts are quite heavy

There's another thread going right now, "Making my brakes safe", Author-Frankus, that discusses this very subject. You will get many opinions. Depending on how you plan to use the Mustang, you may want to do a "Grenada" brake swap. You can get kits in the US (don't know what international shipping would be) for under $600 upto $1,000+. Disc brakes were an option in the 60's Mustangs; so, it is possible that you'll buy one with stock disc brakes. If you are only going to use the Mustang for typical daily driving, few hills, no track use, you don't need to do the disc brake swap. Just replace the OEM master cylinder with a dual reservoir master with a power booster and the drum brake swill be just fine. The disc brakes don't fade like drum brakes when used heavily and repeatedly, but for typical daily driving that's not an issue.

No, no track use planned for the car. Just a fun daily driver, what about power steering was that ever fitted to the car?

will my 65 has disc brakes front, and power steering these were all options as was air-con, I think you need to do some research in what you want and what options were available.
