Default New user checking in and have a question

Ok, wife just bought me a 65 coupe for Christmas. I got it early because she couldn't keep a secret. haha

Anyway, first question of many I'm sure, until this beast is restored.

Driver door door latch, where the top two screws go, is broken completely. Bottom screw area is still intacked. Would this be a complete door replacement, or would the door latch repair kit work on this? I would say just cut out the bad area and tack weld the repair kit in it's place.

Ok, one more. lol Anyone know of a good place to send parts to be rechromed? Preferably someone close to the west coast, but I'm not too picky.

Thanks in advance.

On the rechroming of parts, the parts for mustangs are so cheap that most of the time you can just buy new ones for less.

Nice gift

Have you given any thoughts to the exterior color? Are you going to repaint? Inside looks like a nice clean slate to put in whatever you want.

Yes, it's getting repainted. According to the paint code, it's original color was the guardsman blue. I've always had an affinity for the current color, so that's what it's gonna be. I just have to strip everything out and go with the red interior items as well.
