Default 67 fuel sending unit

A couple years ago I bought a new tank for the stang. So I went ahead and got a sending unit as well. Well, for one thing, my mustang has a low level warning light on the unit and I could not find one. So I just used the standard sending unit, but it reads full all the time now. What did I do wrong? Is there a sending unit out there that has the low level warning on it?

I have not tried ford yet. We have a Ford Saleen dealer close by. I will check my manual and look for a part number. I hope one is there. The old unit was so rusted that the filter completly rusted off into the tank. Didn' t want to put that one in a new tank. How about the wiring on the new unit? I had two lines with a ground. One of the lines is not being used (I assumed it was the low level light). But I saw something about grounding the unit on this forum. I thought maybe I grounded it wrong???

I have considered myself fairly knowledgable of 67, 68 Mustangs and if someone can confirm that some 67's came with a low fuel light thats a new one on me. I always thought having a brake idiot light was as good as it gets in 67.
