arcing

Default arcing

i have a question if i use the original cap off of my distributor with good wire will i have arcing with my msd setup

If your cap is in good shape, you won't have problems. Just don't try to run any extreme plug gaps that will require the higher voltage the MSD is capable of.

That sort of negates the reason for having an MSD box in the first place, doesn't it? I know that even with the Pertronix, you can gap your plugs to about 0.045 without any arcing problems.

cool i just like the look of the stock cap and second the main reason you get a MSD box is the multispark and the fact that the sparks energy doesn't diminish through the rpm range like the inductive system
