Glen that pic is a 427 cammer, they also had a large housing for the chain drive systems on them. 2 valves per cylinder, one cam per head. Stupid power and there is nothing peaky or sluggish about them. That isnt a 3.4L engine there.

I gotta agree with Decurion, if you dont know what you are talking about, plz dont post up what you think might be correct. Wikipedia is what people post that may or may not be fact, its what they want to post. So I could spot something on wiki that says a 67 Cougar came with a 454 HEMI as standard equipment when you got the GO PACK and the red white and blue stripes.

When I make a mistake, I always make sure I dont do it again. No need to mislead anyone about things in the automotive world, and if someone can prove that I have been doing it wrong for years, I will gladly change the way I do it. When I am mistaken, wrong, or have not been clear in what I am saying, please feel free to let me know. The only thing I ask is be prepared to have facts and experience backing you up..

Glen why do you want info on a cammer anyway? You arent a race type...

I just had never seen one in person, and thought I would see if this really was one. The guy selling the car is in a town over from me, and he had a For Sale sign on the car, so I stopped and looked at it, but the owner wasn't there. I guess I can now say I have seen a 427 Cammer. Thanks for the info guys.
I found this little tidbit too. This is a 427 Cammer car that is 1 of 3 made for Nascar Drag Racing, a national record holder and in 1967 it was the "Ken Vogt" car.

It was in an early 60's Galaxie 500 XL, so I wasn't interested in the car. He was asking something like 16K for the car.

10K? it must have had a hole in the side of the block big enough to stick your *** through with one blown up head and one missing head and no valvetrain! If theyre built back to stock or close to it with an original SOHC block (a standard FE block can easily be made to work, but its not original), and complete top to bottom they can pretty easily bring 40k or better.
