Default Fuel System 72 Mach 1

Whats it going to take me to replace a rotted out gas tank on a 72 Mach 1?

hows the trunk floor? The 71-73 cars had a floor above the tank, unlike earlier Stangs where the bottom of the trunk was the top of the tank.

Your sender and pickup might not be too healthy, replacement is a good idea. Replace all the rubber fuel lines, time is not nice to them at all.

The hardware kits are worth every penny, they give you all the fasteners that are rusted and either dont come off in one piece or are ronded of in the process.

Contact any Mustang parts place and order a 20 gallon tank for your 72 Mustang. It'll be around 125 bux.

my 65 might be diferent than yours, but i ordered the tank for around 100$. it dropped right in, used all of the original hardware. just needed to replace the little rubber gasket at bottom of tank.

Our 65's have a 16 gallon tank. The 72 has a 20 gallon tank, therefore the 125 bux.

Well if you want a super huge nightmare project 71 fastback, I know of one...lol.. or just buy it when its done.. I dont mind
