Default Another step complete

Well, I put the little kids to bed and got to spend about 45 minutes in the garage this evening. Just enough time to get my headers installed. Those of you who may have seen my thread a few months ago, I got the headers free from Dynomax, I guess I caught them on a good day. I had emailed them to find out what issues they had encountered that they said the blackjack headers did not fit a 351C with FMX transmission. Their tech support people were not sure and they sent me a set to test. Well, the only issue I encountered was that the #8 cylender Primary had to be dented to clear the power steering. There were no issues with fitment around the trans or bell housing as others had claimed.

I should be able to get the power steering pump reinstalled and have it fired up this weekend.

I have been wondering what happened to those free headers. So, they fit just fine, huh? 45 minutes? It takes me 45 minutes to get the radio on and the first beer popped.

Soaring,

In my life the one luxury I don't have a lot of (besides money) is time. So I have learned to take my projects in baby steps and to work efficiently. I usually only have an hour or so at a time, while my 2, 4 year olds and 3 year old are down for their naps or when they go to bed. I go to bed early too, because I get up at 4:30am.

But Yes asside from needed a bit more clearance arounf the power steering gear, they seem to fit just fine.

EZ,

I plan on reporting back to Dynomax today on the fit, however there was no requirement to do so. If they really wanted, I would be willing to remove the driver's side header and send it back to them so that they could modify thier design. But I don't think they will ask for that.
