Is this a good place for electric choke? **PIC**
Hey I was told that the "stator" terminal would be sufficient to power my electric choke. Is this information correct? If so, is the circled part in my picture the correct place to attach the choke? If not, where else is the best place to connect it, and still looks good?

Lol I know thats the alternator, and I know thats the stator. Someone told me I can run the electric choke to the stator terminal on the alternator. Guess not. Ok so the ground on my starter relay, what are some other options?

If you are looking for power to the choke, the stator terminal on the alternator will give you 7 volts which will work most chokes. The starter relay ground will not power it.

OOO cool. Edelbrock says to connect to a 12V source, but that might be just to be on the "safe side". In that case I heard you can connect it to the coil, which drops to about 9V when running...has any one done this? good results?

Well I heard if i ran it to the key there is suppost to be a stud on the back to attach it to. Well on my car there is no stud, the dash is out of the car so I can see the back of it fine. So I wouldn't even know how to run it to the ignition switch.

I have a fuse in mine, 12V power fuse for the interior. I pulled the fuse, wrapped a wire around one end and poped it back in. Now i have a good 12v wire thats only live when the key is turned on. I was thinkign about using this, that may also be an option for you -Jon

Yea, I beleive thats how the previous owner rigged up my radio....
Its just if I'm going to do it i'd like it to be done right, and wrapping it around a fuse just seems like a cheap way out (but i'm sure it'll work).
