Default RE: front end help

I used a spring compressor a while back, but I thought I read here that someone recommended to just cut the old springs if you have new ones. I thought that was a good idea, but has anyone tried that?
I hit the threads of the ball joints and they DO mushroom very easily, so don't try it.

cutting would be a pain if you dont have a torch cutter. for saftey you just put a chain through the spring and attach to the car. that way in case t does pop your ok. the chain wll be a bit n the way when doing all the work but it will be worth it
