Default Original Fuel Tank ???

My 68 fuel tank has a drain plug. Did the originals have that? I see the price for replacement tanks with and without the plug is the same. Other than the obvious, why would you want a tank without a plug?

Pending what part of town you live in, a plug in a tank could mean an empty tank.... daily
