Default Leftover C4 part????

Well I changed the fluid and filter in my C4 today and all was well, until....I was emptying the drain pan and found this part (see photo). Does anyone out there know if this fell out of the tranny or is it an artifact from projects of old (I can only hope)? Luckily I haven't filled it back up yet so that will be a little less pain.

Thanks!

Big Nate

Is that a pin about 2"-4" long with a groove at one end? if so its a servo apply pin and its either extra that someone left in it, or you have some problems...

It was running smooth as silk prior to the filter change. I haven't filled her up and ran her since doing the maintainence.

The pin is smooth and rounded on both ends, no groove.

I'm going to hit up a local tranny guy for his opinion tomorrow. I'm really hoping my C4 wasn't the source of this fine treasure.

I did pull and replace the modulator valve, didn't know there was a pushrod in or attached to it.

That was it, thanks! I guess it pays to know there is a control rod between the vaccum unit and the throttle valave. Normally I would feel bad doing something so dumb, but I am overjoyed that it wasn't something catasrtophic for once.
