I finally got it off after 90 minutes of struggling, swearing and wacking it as hard as i could with a rubber mallet. The rubber mallet didn't work. I finally widdled away enough cork to fit a chisel in there and pryed that sucker off. My pan has a bit of a dent where the chisel was but I need a new one anyways. Thanks everyone. Getting those crossmember bolts off was no easy task either. OYE!. I need a breaker bar or huge socket wrench for allot of this car.
Next time you are in Sears, check out the price of a set of 1/2" sockets with a 1/2" breaker bar. Also, drop by the hardware store and pick yourself out a 2 foot piece of black pipe that will fit over that breaker bar handle. If that doesn't break it loose, you will twist off the bolt.

+1 on the breaker bar. dont you hate when you forget that you have one and your trying to muscle a bolt offf. then you go get the breaker bar and it loosens with ease

Just happened to me this weekend, except even with the breaker bar it was a workout and I snapped of another bolt in the same area just using my 1/2 inch socket-I couldn't budge the one that I ended up using the breaker bar on.
