OK smartass LCC, I don't see pics of your engine bay so I can make remarks about it. However, thanks for pointing out the bracket to me. I have another project to take care of tomorrow. The only other water hoses are the heater hoses. The others are the PCV and the choke hoses. We don't have vacuum hoses on the 289's that are rubber. The vacuum tube to the distributor is metal.

Maybe it's just me, but ALL the brackets look black.

RE: Replacing Hoses
The 67 would have a lot of vaccum hoses going to the distributor and other emission control devices. I would take a picture of mine for ya but its all covered up in the garage and I don't have a digital camera

RE: Replacing Hoses
I'd take a picture of my stock 68 289, but it's not entirely put together right now either. Also there may be some differences from 67 to 68. I am going to try and get most of the stuff put back together this weekend. But, the engine will still be a mess, and I don't know if I have the courage to post picks of it in its current condition. Probably the best way to approach this is to get a repair manual that includes vacuum diagrams. Personally, I can't recommend the shop manual, as I have found more than one inconsistency in the Shop Manual I got for my 68 (it was completely worthless regarding the engine cooling system and the AC). I recommend that you try to buy a repair manual locally so you can skim through it before you buy it and make sure that it is something you can use.

if you'll wanting to change all the hoses and the battery.....how long ago was it when the car was last driven?
i would probably change the themosat while you are changing the hoses. Also I would do an oil & filter change too.

RE: Replacing Hoses
I'm in need of replacing my radiator and heater hoses as well (cracked hose ends). I've been hesitantto do this since I don't exactly know what to do with the old antifreeze...
What do you guys do with the old stuff? In Virginia, any service station that changes oil is required to accept old oil for recycling free of charge. (Maybe this is even a federal law.) Any guesses if its the same for other HAZMAT liquids?
Thanks.
