I'd say it's a '66 as well.

I've a '65 and this is what my gauge console looks like:

I believe the change in gauge console came with the '66... the '65's still have the Ford Falcon looking speedometer unless maybe someone changed yours out.
you beat me to it.....and my 65 does not have any reverse lights ethier ( is that normal for a 65 or is it just mine ? )

I actually like the color. I think it is called ivy green. Mine was originally that color and I think I will go back to it if and when it's time to repaint my 65 (notice the reverse lights).
"What do we think? How much would it be worth more or less in USA?

Its a 1965 200bhp 4.8l V8 with rebuilt auto box and a/c for $17.680 (the car is in Europe)

Another thing is Ill be using it as a daily driver and may need to make some changes to make if safer, by the sounds of things I wont need to upgrade to disks but will see what its like when Ive driven it for a while, might install 3 point seatbelts and will probably change the wheels for some nicer ones. Would this be destruction of an original classic and I should therefore look for one which isnt in such good condition?

These are all the details I have so far, can anyone tell me anything else about the car by looking at it? Does it have disks? Is it a good engine?"
Spanish Mustang, how much is $17.680 in U.S. money? I like it, and yes the 289 is a good engine. Hard to say what condition that engine is in but if it doesnt smoke or make unwanted noises and pulls hard when you step on the gas then it should be a winner. Also not to expensive to rebuild.

As for the chances of it having disk brakes already, I would say doubtful. Be sure to look in all the suspect places for rust. I think there is something in the FAQ section about what to look at when buying a classic mustang.

I paid $7,500. for mine couple of years ago and it didnt have A/C. I have put quite a bit of $$$ since then though. I'm sure that one your looking at is worth more then mine due to the originality facter. Good Luck.

I love the colour, its my favourite colour for a mustang. Not sure if its Ivy green or dark moss green. Here are photos of all the 66 colours anyone know which green it is? http://www.svs.com/zim/mustang/66colors.html I think its dark moss green, not sure though. I do prefer ivy green but theyre both nice.

The price is in US Dollars, the price in euros is 13500€

That sure looks like Ivy Green to me, which is a 65 color. That could explain why your were told it was a 65; maybe they had it painted a 65 color because they thought that was the year of the car. If you had the number from the car the original color could be determined.

That has drums looking at the master cylinder, nice export brace, those shocks look like Koni's judging by the color and the dash pad need replacing.
