I wouldn't have started it either but my buddy really wanted it so I'm helping him. He's got about $3000 in new sheet metal so far and it is really starting to look good.

This morning it was ona truck wondering if you should undertake the project, and by lunch you've installed rails and firewall?!?

At this rate you'll be done by the new year! Please disregard my previous comment about needing time for this project!

I think it would be a great idea to use that stang as a project, but not personally for me. If you are going for a full blown restomodder or even just a nice show car, you'll have half your work already done for you. I guess all the new sheetmetal will be expensive, but atleast its all cut out for you. As much new metal as your gonna put on that thing, I dont want to hear any complaints about rust haha...

Wow! Nice work! It is nice to see someone willing to take that step and rebuild something of that magnitude. People have discarded cars that need less work than that one. You guys are an asset to the hobby. They're all worth saving if possible! Best of luck.

Looks like it's ready to go back together to me. Mine didn't look much better during it's rebuild.

Thanks guys,
Actually we started on it in July. It will be a restomod with Mustang II front suspension, AC, power windows, etc..
We are going to put in a 94 Mustang dash (hopefully) and a late model 5.0 with EFI. It won't be a Hot Rod as much as a driver. The car has some sentimental value. It was my Buddy's best friends car when they were growing up. He found it in a junkyard near where he grew up.
