Default Accidentally Mixed Power Steering Fluids...

My power steering fluid appeared to be the clear variety when I checked it; however, after adding some fluid and turning the wheel to see if the lines were full, red fluid came back up into the funnel...I'm supposing this means I made an idiot move and added the wrong fluid...now I'm trying to find out what my next move should be?
Do I need to bleed the lines and start over, or will I be ok with the mixed fluids?

Thanks in advance!

I think as long as the bottle said 'power steering fluid' you are okay. Someone may have used tranny fluid before and you had no problems, right? PS systems are pretty forgiving, just need some kind of hydraulic fluid...

Classic Fords use Type F. Chevy's use that other stuff. Shouldn't hurt anything, but you could drain the system and put in all new fluid. Can't hurt.

[sm=laughat.gif]You have Chevy goo in your Ford!
