Default Coil Spring Help

Just finished installing new upper and lower control arms and new V8 coil springs. Did I install the coil springs correctly? They bow to the outside. I dont have an engine or tranny in the car. When I stand on the engine crossmember, the spring pivot bracket rotates around and the springs act like they straighten up some. Will they be straight when I install the engine and everything else, or did I do something wrong.

Looks right to me. I usually wait till I have all the steering linkages, sway bar, etc, installed before putting in the springs. Now you'll have to fight the spring while hooking everything else up.

It's a whole 'nother demon with everything exposed like that. I always pictured the entire suspension setup looking slightly different. She looks like she's coming along purdy good.

I have the new tie rod end installed on that side, the sway bar will have to wait a few days, I recieved the wrong sway bar bushings, so now I need to either buy smaller bushings, or a larger diameter sway bar. Sounds like a good time to upgrade, huh?

Looking good! I only have experience with 65's and 66's, but the spring install looks a little too odd to me. Make sure you got the right springs, as there really isn't any way to install them incorrectly...just make sure the bottom-end spring tip contacts the lip on the perch...

It looks long to me.Looks likewhen youput it on the ground with weight on it, itwill be coil bound. No room to compress. Thats how it looks to me.

So, I have gotten 3 "looks good" and 3 "looks long". Does anyone else have any insight? Any pictures? When weight is applied to the car, the spring perch rotates and the coil spring starts straightening up. I think that this looks odd also, that is why I am asking. I bought the springs from Advance Auto, they are for a 68 with a big block V8.
