RE: BOSS 351 (1971) ?
I can't remember what "faster" it was i believe it was 1/4 mile time not all out top speed. I'm pretty sure this was because of the weight difference.

I think the 71, 72 and 73's are great investments and have not yet come into their own.Last of the "Long nose" Mustangs. The Boss cars are highly collectables and willcontinue to increase in value each year. Buy it!!!

It's worth what he is asking for it. There is no bluebook on classic Mustangs. If he wants 50 grand for it, he will probably get 50 grand for it. If he wants 35 grand for it, he will probably get 35 grand.

RE: BOSS 351 (1971) ?
The Boss 351 was considered the quickest Mustang until the '99 GT. Even Ford made that statement upon the release of the New Edge.
Of course, considering how easy it was to tune these older cars, there'll be a lot of debate. Most stick by the 428CJ Stangs. The Boss Nine had a lot of traction problems for some reason.
It would be nice to assemble a stock representative of each of these cars and give them some modern rubber to burn up down the quarter. All in the name of science, you know.
