RE: Cowl cleaning tips??
i painted inside the cowl with a tip and tube from wd40 or silicone spray can.....i can't remember which....i could get a decent amout of coverage taking my time...since the tube will let you spray inside the cowl area...no overspray.....

RE: Cowl cleaning tips??
I am going to use a modeling airbrush to paint inside the cowl.
It has pointy tip that sprays a wide pattern, I am going tostick it betweenthe vents and move back and forth. Or so I think, haven't done it yet, but that is my plan.
I thought about getting some of that duplicolor washable paint and spray it on the vents first so any overspray is on top of that layer and will wash off with the removeable paint. However, I will probably just hit it with a buffer and a lil light compound afterward.

I thought about POR15 but I have heard that stuff is impossible to remove if it gets on the paint, so I am playing it safe.
Also, I am not sure if it will destroy my airbrush or not, so again playing it safe.
The flat black should be good enough until I have the money to have the cowl cracked open and repaired properly.
Painting it tomorrow morning, will update my post on Sunday with some pics.
