general rule of thumb, h pipe over nothing x pipe for racing.(by far it's not an absolute, but a good starting point)just check out the links I gave above.

Honestly, I would spend the money on bumping up your tubing dia. to at least 2 1/4, if not 2 1/2". If you want to go with a crossover, I would definitely go with the H, in your case.

or should i not even bother with headers and crossovers untill it's time for a whole new system and then updrade to a 2 1/4" -2 1/2" then? That would be a few years though.

I'd say it can wait. just don't go over 2 1/2, 2 1/4 should still be good for you. Really though you can do the entire system for relatively cheap. Check out the american thunder system or something similar take it to you muffler shop and all they have to do is fab the connector tube to your shorties!

This is the best choice. When you're ready to redo the whole system, do it in one shot. I wouldn't spend the money on a crossover now. Wait till your ready.
