Default Double din in the dash

So i was wondering what everyone would think and say about putting a double din head unit in the dash of a 66 coupe. i was thinking either an eclipse or jensen or pioneer. either way it would still be a double din and that is a bit of cutting on that panel. i think it would look nice and kinda modern but i just want some other opinions. thanks any input would be nice.

[sm=nono.gif][sm=nothatway.gif]You will not be able to go back after cutting. Don't they make a touch screen in a regular din format, The kind that comes out and then up?

build a console on the floor to house the new unit , or use the old style console unit with the barn door it will hold a double din and conseal it

yea, i was wondering the same, i dont think mine needs cutting since my radio is considerably lower then previous years, but if i do, i want to buy an aftermarket area and cut that, so i can go back to original if i have to

I'm trying to put a head unit in my console area and its not large enough. the head unit is too big by about an inch. I don't know bout a touch screen or anything like that. we're just putting it in the glove box
