Where does the dipstick tube bolt on?

Default Where does the dipstick tube bolt on?

The bracket that holds the dipstick tube. I don't remember which bolt hole it goes through. Does it go through the same one as the upper alt mounting bolt? Does it go through the one that holds the coil.

Neither. There is a hole just for the bracket. (at least on my '68' 302.) On the front near the water pump. Can't rememberexact location but if you still don't know by tomorrow I'll take a pic.

Depends on the motor and year model. In this photo, it bolts to a bracket that attaches to the upper alternator bolt.

Mine slips in at the bottom, just into the hole, a slip fit. then on the ALt braket it bolts to the head -Jon

By on the head do you mean on top of the extension that the bolt goes through? Or.. does it go directly against the block?

Heres how mine is, presed in at the bottom and pinched inbetween tne ALT spacer and the braket on the head #'s of order

1 head
2 bracket
3 dipstick
4 spacer
5 alt bracket
