Default Need a little help from the board.

I'm switching a 67 dual bowl master for my stock 65 single bowl master cylinder. I think that I need to change out the push rods to hook up correctly, but cannot get the 67 push rod to release fromt the MC.
What's the trick to removing the pushrod from the 67.
Share your wisdom with me. Thankyou

Default ZZ thanks for the pic. I have done as you suggest

but the 67 dual will not let go of the push rod. The entire primary piston came out through the retaining ringand I was able to reinstallbut no luck with the push rod. The push rod on my original 65 just fell out. Is there anothertrick?
