A local guy building a custom car with a metallic red paint jobwent withpolished aluminum valve covers with red paint in the channels, and it looks fabulous. But, he also left the engine block natural and unpainted. He also has some chrome brackets and such as highlights in the engine bay without going overboard in the chrome area.

Responding to a fewof thequestions asked:

The Edelbrock "enduroshine" finish isn't that much more than their standard finish...

The Supercharger - which is always running - can actually increase gas milage becasue the engine runs much more efficiently, Of course, under boost (which is 7.5) you'll use a lot more gas.

The Paxton adds between 80 and 100 horses.Significant torque for red light superiority. And the sound is out of this world!

As to conveting the black red valve covers to black/blue - my fastback is black with red stipes so it goes together very nicely (Hovever, I am going to explore the black/blue option).

the black rockers look really unique and I agree the red could look ok with the car's paint scheme. if it were me, I'd paint the block black as well and go with the red msd as others have suggested. all the bolt on stuff in the polished aluminum look...it would look awesome!

keep posting!!

ps I also agree you need some headers!
