What did you use to raise the rear end up? I've been looking for ways to get our '65 up about 4 inches and dont want to use shackles (yuck).

I got the 5 layer performance leaf springs from laurel mountain mustang. They will give you some lift, but i also have shackles, but they are set at the lowest setting.

i had a 4 inch cowl hood on the 56 impala i had seeing around it was fun even being 6'2 didnt help

Yeah, I'm 5' 8" and it's impossible to see over the shaker on my Mach. You just learn to guess. Your car looks like it's just about ready for some color. I would think the 355 rear would feel a whole lot different from the 278. I know when I went from 355 to 410 on the Mach I noticed a big difference.
