hi im looking into convertin my straight six 65 mustang into a v8. what has to be done exactly.wil i need different transmision. whats the best engine to go for. wher would i get one and rough;y how much would a conversion cost

gruminator have you been hangin out with the ricers?
Find a 347 to drop in there, youll need to change out front suspension, steering, brakes (front and rear), and the rear end, your tranny should work (if you have c4 or manual)but will need to rebuilt to tolerate more hp. i just finished converting my i6 to a v8

ummmm how'd you know??? I mean, hell no i hate rice!!! (as my korean mother is trying to hit me with a wooden rice spoon)
I would just like to see a well build I6 maybe with a power adder on something. I think it will be sweet. But personally unless by act of god, or economics I would never buy a six when I could get an 8, and even if I did, I would spend the money to put in the 8.
