yes but cheaper than a welder that u may not use for a long time and ur not gonna heat warp the panels using this method

i have used the 3m panel bond with great results...forgiving stuff with a good work time. not sure if it has been mentioned but the stuff actually needs a small gap between mated surfaces. if you smash/clamp two pieces together and squeze out the panel bond there wont be enough bonding material for them to properly bond. give it a shot on an unseen area first to get the feel of it....its easier than caulking a tub, but its hard as hell to sand.
