Default how much power can a c-4 with a shift kit handle?

i have a 67 coupe and im putting in a 302 with alot of extras, 347 stroker kit, weiand supercharger with dual 750 cfm holley carbs, racing cam full exhaust. basically alot of power. can the c4 tranny that was originally with the 302 handle all the new power, even with the shift kit i have installed? or would i better off just biting the bullet and getting a new t-5 that i know for sure will handle it

a c4 will handle way more than a t5

it is smaller and weaker than a c6, but even in stock form its very stout Id say probably in the 350 - 450 tq range, they can be made to handle well over 1000 hp

with a 347 and a supercharger it will go in a short period of time contrary to popular belief, but it sounds like your trying to make an adequate race car, and with the right equiptment it can handle a lot of power. personally i would go with a cryo treated t5(www.onecryo.com) you'd send them your t5 and for $300 dollars they garentee 300-500% gain in strength. this would also would well with a c4(i would acctually recommend it) and a race clutch kit from transtar industries(www.transtarindustries.com). If your gonna do it, do it right. hope this could be of some help
